Love Tanya *Review

Sunday, 29 March 2015

Hey everybody! I hope you are having a lovely day so far. You are probably wondering why I have posted this on a Sunday, and the reason is that every now and then i'm going to start posting extra blogs which will lead to me posting twice a week!

Anyway on to the blog.. Today i'm going to be talking about Tanya Burrs book which is called 'Love Tanya' it has been out for quite a while so I thought I would just tell you my view on the book and some of the things that are in it.

I absolutely love Tanya's book, there are different subjects in her book like makeup, baking, her life story and many more. I especially love the chapter about makeup and the chapter and skincare because as you may know already i'm a bit obsessed! She tells you all her tips and tricks and is great if you need some advice.

I adore the front cover of the book which has a collage of pictures and on the back she tells you a bit about why Tanya wrote the book and what it is about. At the end of each chapter there are places where you can write notes and other thoughts.

I'm going to keep this blog quite short but I defiantly recommend you buy it if you haven't already! I hope you enjoy!

Love Tanya

Foundation *Review

Thursday, 26 March 2015

Hey everyone! Today's blog is going to be about a liquid foundation that i have had for quite a while now. I have used this foundation for quite a while but obviously I stopped because I then got my Bars one. To start off it is called 'Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation' and I bought this in the colour 'Light porcelain'. This foundation is from Superdrug and was only £7.99. On the packaging it says that it lasts 25 hours long on the skin, it also says it's a Full coverage foundation but I would say its more of a medium coverage.

On my skin this is a medium coverage foundation like I said but is easily buildable to a full coverage foundation. The colour 'Light Porcelain' has a slight pink undertone and is a bit shiny but once I have set it with my powder it looks very matte on my skin. You can use any powder to set your foundation which will help it last longer. Because I am very oily in my T-Zone that's normally the place where my foundation escapes first, which sadly still happens with this foundation. Also I wouldn't say it lasts for 25 hours. But your could definitely do touch-ups with powder throughout the day.

On to the packaging, I think it looks really nice and it has a pump! Which is normally the problem with most foundation. It is quite big so will also last you for quite along time, which saves you some money. This is a great quality product for the price and I would definitely recommend it.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog!

Eye Shadow Palette *Review

Thursday, 19 March 2015

Hello everyone! I'm going to be talking about another new purchase I have made, which is a new eyeshadow palette. The palette is by Makeup Revolution and is called the 'Ultra 32 Shade Eyeshadow Palette beyond flawless' this palette has 32 eyeshadow shades in it and has a mixture between matte shades and shiny/glittery.

I purchased this eyeshadow palette from the Makeup Revolution website but you can also buy this from Superdrug as well. This cost me only £8 which I think is a great price and is also really good quality. There are a range of colours from light to dark and this also came quite quickly in the post!

On to the packaging when it arrived it came in the shiny rose gold coloured box, which looks really nice. The actual palette itself is black and has got a really big mirror, so is good to use if your doing your makeup on the go! I would definitely recommend it also the colours are very pigmented so will last longer and is great value for the price!

Buy this product here.
I hope you enjoyed this post, please do leave and comments below about blogs you want to see in the future!

Brushes On A Budget

Thursday, 12 March 2015

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day so far. Today I am going to be talking about these new makeup brushes that I have brought which even though are really cheap they are amazing quality. They are only £6.99 from amazon and came in only 3 days! These are the perfect brushes if you don't have much money at the time and want great quality!

To start off they are really soft and even after I have washed them they are still very soft. A few hairs fell out a little at the start but none have fallen out since. I use the larger brushes for mainly foundation, concealer, blush, contour and highlight. They make my foundation look amazing on my face and are easy to use when blending.

I use the smaller brushes for everything to do with my eyes! They are very fluffy so are really easy to use when blending eye shadow and there is also two brushes which are more persist. I have noticed a big difference about my eye shadow when using these brushes, there are no harsh lines and really good quality for the price.

I hope you enjoyed this blog and I would definitely recommend these brushes!

All About The Nails

Thursday, 5 March 2015

Hey guys! Today I am going to show you four different nail varnishes which are personally some of my favourites. They are all each from different brands, some cheaper than others depending on where you get them from.

The first one is by 'Tanya Burr', who most of you may know already. She has a large range of different colours and this one I picked up is called 'Little duck'. I think this is an adorable name and I absolutely love the colour. It is a minty green type of colour but more bluey and is easy to apply as well as being not too runny, which is always good!

This lovely pale colour will be perfect in the spring/summer. It has a standard sized brush and is not too big so will be easy to use and hold. You can get this nail varnish from Superdrug or any drugstores near by and this product cost me £5.99. You can buy this nail varnish here. Its a perfect gift for a person who loves nail varnish!

The next nail varnish is by 'MUA' and is in the colour 'Ameretto Crush' I'm in love with the pink/coral colour which would be perfect for a spring/summer wardrobe as well. It only cost £1 from Superdrug which is great if you don't want to spend huge amounts of money on nail varnish. the packaging is quite simple but still looks very nice. The brand doesn't just do nail varnish ,it also does different kinds of makeup! Go check out this product here.

On to the next one, which is a nail varnish by 'P.S.' Annoyingly it doesn't say what colour it is but it a blue/green colour with a beautiful glittery and shimmery colour. Again this only cost £1 from Primark as you would guess! The colour isn't very pigmented but after two coats it looks amazing! This has a medium size brush which is easy to use like most brushes. I would say this again would be great for spring/summer time.

The final product is by a well-known brand 'Barry M' and is in the colour 'Orchid' which a dark shimmery purple. I would definitely wear this colour in autumn/winter and would be perfect with a dark lip and smokey eye makeup. I bought this product from Superdrug again for £3.99. Barry M do an huge range of different colours so I'm sure there is a favourite for everyone! I would definitely recommend this nail varnish and the brand! So go have a look for yourself here.

I hope you enjoyed this post and don't forget to post a comment on any specific blogs you want me to write!
