Choco-Caramel Cupcakes

Thursday 28 May 2015

When I posted my 'Tanya Burr Cookies' blog lots of you seemed to enjoy it so I thought why not make some cup cakes which are quite unhealthy not going to lie but taste so good and are great for when friends are coming round!

Ingredients:
175g self-raising flour
25g Cocoa powder
175g Light brown mascovado sugar
 100g unsalted butter (room temperature)
2 eggs (room temperature)
125ml milk
1 bag on toffee (Rolos, Caramel nibbles)

Instructions:

Firstly you will need to preheat your oven to 180°c. Pour the sugar into a large mixing bowl, then sift the flour and cocoa powder into the bowl.

Next add the 2 eggs, soft butter and gradually add the milk and beat the mixture together using a wooden spoon or an electric whisk, to make a smooth, thick mixture. Don't forget to scrap down the sides of the bowl, to be sure that everything is mixed in.

Then get 12 paper cases and put them in the cupcake tray. Spoon around half of the mixture evenly between all of the cases. Once you have done that, I used caramel nibbles and placed 2 in each paper case on top of the small amount of mixture.

After that, add the rest of the mixture evenly to all 12 cupcakes, to cover up the caramel nibbles, because I had some leftover I decided to put and extra one on top. When that is finally done all you have to is put them in the oven and let them bake for around 15 minutes then if they need a bit more time in the oven, put them back in for another minute or two.

Once they are done i would suggest taking them out and placing them on a cooling rack and wait for about another 10 minutes and then you cane eat them!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Let me know if you want me to do more of these baking blogs. Don't forget to follow me on instagram which is @_SimplyBlog_ where I post daily!

Photography Tips

Thursday 21 May 2015

I hope you are having a good day so far! I thought that today I would share with you some of my tips for taking pictures. I would just like to say that I am by far, no expect these are just some of the tips I have found useful. Let's Begin!

Good lighting -
When you have good lighting in a picture it always makes it look much more brighter and quite professional.

Simple background -
I think when you are taking a picture of a product if you have a plain simple background it adds more attention to the product where as if you had a lot going on in the background the main focus won't just be the product.

Focusing -
I would always recommend to make sure your photo is focused so it looks clearer and having a blurred background also adds more attention on the focus point.

Be unique -
Don't always copy other peoples photos but be original and come up with a photo that represents you and not what you want people to see you as.

Camera -
I think when taking detailed photos of something like a close up of a flower it is always best to have a good camera so that you get to capture all the different details.

Filters -
Filters are your best friend, when editing a photo they can always make your picture look brighter and more clear or darker depending on what photo you took.

Finally that's it I hope you enjoyed if you have another tips I would love to hear them so don't forget to leave a comment down below.

Thanks everyone

Spring Eye Tutorial

Thursday 14 May 2015

Guess what! It's another makeup post but instead of reviewing products and all of that good stuff, I thought why don't I do a spring eye tutorial! I am in no means a makeup artist this is just how I did this makeup look and I am no expert! With all that said lets start!

Firstly I used my 'Mac Paint Pot' in the colour 'Painterly' and using my finger I put this all over my lid to give my eyeshadow a bass and so that it stays on all day.

Next I put the 'Maybelline colour tattoo' in the shade 'Pink Gold' all over my lid as well. With this being 24hr long lasting when I use both this and my mac paint pot it makes it stay on all day and longer, which is an added bonus!

After than I got my 'Revolution Beyond flawless' eyeshadow palette and then took the dark pink/purple colour in the crease of my eye. For this I used the 'Ecotools Angled crease' brush.

Once that was all blended I took my 'Sleek Contour Kit' and added the highlight shade over my lid to create a more shimmery effect and to tone down the pinkness.

Using the dark pink/purple shade again I put this on my lower lash line and blended it out. For this is used my small Ecotools brush which I don't know the name of because it has rubbed off.

Finally I topped of this look with a load of mascara! On my top lashes I used the 'Maybelline Lash Sensational' mascara to create more volume and on my bottom lashes I used the 'Max Factor Masterpiece Glamour Extensions' because the wand was smaller and is easier to use.
And that's it! I'm in love with this look at the moment and if you recreate this look I would love to see it, so tag me on instagram @_SimplyBlog_ with the hashtag #simplyblogcreations. I hope you enjoyed!
