April Favourites

Thursday 30 April 2015

It has finally come to the end of April which felt like forever and as always I decided to share with you some of the things I have been loving. So this month it took me forever to decide what to share with you but I have finally picked out my favourites.

I will start with makeup and the first product I have been loving is quite new and it is the 'NYC bronzer'. This is a great dupe for the 'Hola bronze by Benefit' and i'm in love especially because it doesn't look orange on my skin like some others.

The next makeup product is a Beauty Blender which is amazing! It makes my foundation look so flawless and is great for oily and dry skin. Instead of buying the real thing which is £14 I got this for only £2 altogether from ebay and I definitely recommend.

Onto jewellery I recently got some new necklace's from Claire's and Primark and I love them so much! I got a chocker and two necklaces which have triangles round them and one clear necklace with a heart on so there are different styles for different looks.

Finally my last favourite for this month is the Tanya burr cookies I honestly cannot tell you how nice they taste if you want more detail on how to make them I will leave a link to the blog I did on them.

I hope you enjoyed let me know some of your favourites in the comments or any specific blog posts u want to see.

Tanya Burr Cookies

Sunday 26 April 2015

You have probably noticed that most of my blogs recently have been to do with beauty so for a bit of a change I decided to do a Baking post. As you know from my other blog Tanya burr has released a book, so I thought this was the perfect chance for me to bake something that i'm sure most people will love! I am going to be making her 'Milk and White Chocolate Cookies!
Ingredients:
 200g butter

300g caster sugar
1 large egg
325 self-raising flour
A dash of milk (optional)
200g white chocolate
(My favourite to use is Milky Bar)
200g milk chocolate
(Again my favourite to use is Cadbury)

Pre-heat you oven to 200°c and make sure that the butter is a room temperature so it blends easily so don't forget to cut the butter in to cubes before you start. Then start off by whisking the butter and sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is pale and creamy.

Once that is all mixed together crack the large egg into the mixture and start whisking again. Gradually start adding in the flour, if you have done this and your mixture looks too dry add a dash of milk and if it is too sticky and a touch of flour.

The mixture should then come together and look like dough. With clean hands, break up the chocolate into big and small chunks and then add to the mixture. Shape the mixture into 10 balls using your hands (I did make more but I only took a picture of 6) then place them on a baking tray covered in greaseproof paper.

Bake these for around 10-12 minutes. Leave them on the baking tray or a cooling rack to cool for 25 minutes. They should be gooey on the inside and hard on the outside. And the taste absolutely amazing!!

I hope you enjoyed this blog for a change and leave in the comments if you want me to do more of these!

Thanks everyone

How I Take/Edit My Instagram Photos

Thursday 23 April 2015

So today I felt like writing a blog about photography but I wasn't quite sure, so I asked on instagram if I should do a post on how I edit my instagram photos and I got some good responses.
So here it is!

If you don't know anything about my instagram account I mainly post pictures of beauty products only with quotes and some photography. I'm still in shock that I have reach 1.5k and I am so grateful to everyone who has followed and left comments.

Anyway first of all I take my pictures in the day using natural lighting but I don't leave it too late so I get a good amount of lighting. I take my photos on my white Ikea desk and I change the background from time to time. I now have a tall, white mug with fake, white/cream flowers and some stones in front of it.

If I am taking pictures of beauty products I usually uses my pillow from Primark which is white and has daisies on it for the background.

I use the effect 'Chrome' and I take my photos on my IPhone 5s. Once I have taken I few photos I decide which one I think is the best and then I start to edit it.

To edit my pictures I just use the editing setting already on the my iphone. which appears at the top right of your screen when you are on the photo. But there are also many apps out there that you can download like 'Whitagram' to edit your photos.

Once I have clicked on it there are three choices at the bottom and I pick the right one. I them click on 'Light' and then drag it up or down to how light I want it.

If I think the picture needs even more editing I click off of 'Light' but this time click on the arrow just along from the word 'Light' and there are more ways to adjust it to the way you want. I go through each one and see what it adds to the picture and sometimes I will change parts like 'Highlight' or 'Shadows' but most of the time I just leave it.

And that's it! Next week I will also be posting photography tips incase any of you needed some help. I hope you enjoyed this blog don't forget to share and tell some more people about my blog!

Skin Care Routine

Tuesday 14 April 2015

So I realised that I haven't yet done my skin care routine, so I thought this was the perfect time because I have been trying out some new 'Liz Earle' products and have been really enjoying them! This post is just going to give you a run through of what I have been doing and I will also be posting a my Top Skin Care tips blog in the future. I do this skin care routine every morning and evening.

Ok so the first thing I do is I get the 'Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish' and apply two pumps of that onto my skin. I use my fingertips to gently massage the cream over my face and jaw line. I massage this over my eye-lids and eyelashes last to avoid spreading eye makeup all over your face.

Then I rinse the 'Pure cotton muslin cloth' in hot water and rinse it out so it's damp, not wet. Using the cloth I rinse off the cream which was on my face, using a clean section for each part of my face. I then carefully remove my eye-makeup and then rinse the cloth thoroughly after. I splash my face with cool water and carefully pat dry using a soft towel.

Next I use the 'Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator' and lightly massage onto clean skin, concentrating on th forehead, nose, shin and jawline, avoiding my eyes. Then I rinse that off using warm water and again dry my face with a soft towel.

After that I pour a generous amount of the 'Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic' onto cotton wool and sweep over my face and neck.

Once that has set into my skin I use the 'Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser' and gently massage into face and neck.

And finally that is the end of my skins care routine, this might seem like a lot of work but is definitely worth it! I hope you enjoyed and if you have any questions leave in the comments below.

(The reason why this blog is earlier is because I am going on holiday and there isn't very good WiFi there)

Spring Look

Thursday 9 April 2015

As it is now Spring and because you all seemed to like my Winter Look, I decided to show one of my everyday Spring Looks. I am really enjoying wearing this look because it features some of the new clothes I have recently bought, as well as my bag which I am in love with!
Finally lets get onto the look!

Grey Crop Top - Primark £4.00

Check Shirt - Primark £12.00

Black Leggings - ASDA??

Black Bag - Primark £10.00

Nike Shoes - JD Sports £50.00

My first item of clothing I am wearing is my grey top which is stripy and it says 'Comme Ci, Comme Ca'. I really like this top because it is very soft and goes with pretty much everything!

Next is my check Shirt which is also very soft and even though it is a bit too big for me, it think that adds it to the look! I think it is great for the price and you can buy it in a range of colours!

On to my bag, it is very big inside so after the Easter Holiday I will definitely be using this for school! There is two ways of holding it, you can hold it using the two handles or you can use the long strap over your shoulder. I am absolutely in love with it!!

Finally my shoes, I have had these for quite a while and trust me they were a lot whiter when I got them! They are quite pricey but easy to slip on and are really comfortable, my only advise is not to wear them if you are going anywhere muddy!

This is my look complete. I hope you enjoyed seeing my everyday spring look. Don't forget to follow and leave a comment about your go to spring look!

Thanks everyone

March Favourites

Thursday 2 April 2015

Finally it has come to the end of the month so I thought I would talk to you about some of the things I have been loving this month. I have picked out a few things from beauty to food! The reason why this blog is going up a bit early is because I will be later today I will be at my friends house so won't be able to post it.

The first item I am absolutely in love with is my Maybelline colour tattoo in the colour 'On and on bronze' it is a beautiful brown shimmer shade and the best thing is that it lasts all day so you don't have to keep applying it!

Another beauty product I have been loving this month another Maybelline product and is the 'Baby Skin Instant pore eraser'. This leaves my skins feeling so soft and I have noticed a difference, with my pores looking smaller.

Okay, o my final beauty product is my Soap and Glory 'Lid Stuff' eye shadow palette in 'What's Nude'. I don't honestly know how I have lived with out it, it has a great colours in it and is perfect for when you travel.

Teens White Check Long Sleeve Crop Top | New Look
Next is a top that I have had for quite but I am still in love. It is the White check long sleeve crop top from new look and I normally where this with leggings or a skater skirt. It is in black and white and has a check pattern on it.

My last favourite for this month as been the Film Insurgent from the Divergent series. Since I have seen in at the cinema I am now obsessed with it. It is a great film and would highly recommend that you go and see it if you haven't already!

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the things I have loved this month. Leave a comment on what your March favourites have been!
